Barbara Hershey was born on February 5th, 1948. She grew up in Hollywood and most people knew her to be extremely shy and quiet child . She went on to become one of the most celebrated actresses in Hollywood with award winning performances in movies like the ‘Last Temptation of Christ’.
Young Barbara used to be a beautiful bombshell brunette. As the years passed, nature did take its cause and rumors suggest she had undergone several plastic procedures. Critics say her post plastic surgery features look quite unnatural and somehow the softness of her face disappeared and she appears to be rather plastic and cold.

Plastic surgery speculations
When Barbara appeared in the black swan as the mother of Natalie Portman there were a lot of rumors surrounding whether she had actually had some plastic surgery done. Granted she still looked youthful but many critics said she looked very unnatural and her face looked quite different.
Barbara herself never admitted to have done any kind plastic surgery but considering the change in her face, many speculate she had underwent a face-lift and Botox injections to boost her self-esteem as a recently single woman.
Face-lift
Even before her split with Naveen Andrews, there were always speculations that she had done a face-lift but it always seemed quite natural. More surgery work on her face after the split is what confirmed the rumors. She still manage to maintain her youthfulness but it was no longer as subtle as before.
Surgery Results
Barbara is well over 60 years of age but her face definitely does not betray her. There are no wrinkles on her forehead or on the sides of her lips which is probably a result of botox that was also well done. However, when you compare her old photos to her current ones, you can immediately tell that there is a major difference. Previously her face was softer and warm but right now, she looks a bit stiff and plastic.
