Elizabeth Mitchell Before and After Photos

Elizabeth Mitchell is an American actress who was born on March 27, 1970 in Los Angeles, California. She started trying out her acting chops in the theaters before her debut in the big screen. Some of her most notable credits in the theater include As You Like It, Measure for Measure, Baby and Chicago. In 1998, she had a big break when she starred opposite Angelina Jolie in an HBO television film called Gia. She went to star in other successful movies including Frequency and Nurse Betty among others. But her most popular role to date is probably as Dr. Juliet Burke in ABC’s TV series Lost where she was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for her outstanding performance in a drama series. As for her personal life, she was married to fellow actor Chris Soldevilla but the marriage ended in divorce in 2013.
Gorgeous, charming and talented, Elizabeth Mitchell has endeared herself to critics and films alike. Add to that her awesome good looks and she has successfully forged a name in Hollywood. In recent years, however, rumors have popped up speculating some plastic surgery procedures she went under the knife for the sake of beauty. While many of her fans claim that her looks are all natural, there are a few who think otherwise.

“If you try to stay young forever, you don’t really live.”

The Infamous Nose Job

When you talk about Elizabeth Mitchell and her famous good looks, one of the things people bring up most of the time is her nose. Rumor has it that she underwent a rhinoplasty procedure to enhance the shape of her nose. Mitchell has neither confirmed nor denied the speculations. But looking at the before and after images may offer some clues about the truth or falsity of the allegations.
When Mitchell was really younger, her nose used to look wider. Her recent photos, on one hand, show a more pointed nose tip. The overall nose shape now looks slimmer and the nose bridge also looks a bit different. Because of these relatively obvious differences, many stick with their opinions that Mitchell indeed went through a nose job.

What Critics Say

Backing up the allegations is a celebrity plastic surgeon. Dr. Paul Nassif who has worked with a number of celebrities over the years has pointed out that Elizabeth Mitchell does have a different nose. It looks smaller and straighter which is rarely the case naturally. For younger women, it might be the case but for women like Elizabeth who is in her 40s, not likely. With that said, Dr. Nassif leans on a positive answer when the rumors about Elizabeth’s nose job are brought up.
Whether you believe the rumors or not, there are only two things to go when it comes to Elizabeth’s nose job results. Either you like it or not. For some critics, they agree that she looked better than ever with her new nose. Conversely, there are those who think that she looked awesome before and the plastic surgery was not necessary at all.

The Hollywood Stigma

While the nose job procedure was carried out professionally and was not even close to some botched job as other celebrities, there are always people who will question the need for starts such as Elizabeth Mitchell to turn to plastic surgery. At 44 years old, she looked like she barely aged. She’s beautiful and has a great body that most women only dream about. So why go through with a nose job if it was true at all? We can all blame the Hollywood stigma that you are only beautiful when you eternally look young, fresh and as close to perfect. Even if the nose job was never necessary, you can’t blame Mitchell for going under the knife in order to meet the Hollywood standards for beauty.

  1. I think she broke her nose during filmings.. She didn’t make a plastic surgery for beauty’s reason.

  2. I liked her better before (as i do most of them).
She has a really artificially looking face now…
Not natural.. i don’t see her as a beautiful woman anymore.
To artificial, no expression anymore, no personality.
