A legendary actress, she graced the small screen for many years as well as appearing in some very high profile films, making Candice Bergen a celebrated favorite to many. An unfortunate incident would enter the life of Bergen in 2006, when it was discovered that she had suffered a relatively serious stroke. When she emerged from her state of healing, the public noticed that her appearance had taken on a more youthful turn. Born on May 9, 1946, in Beverly Hills, Ca, Candice Bergen started her residency in the spotlight at a very early age. Her father was actor and ventriloquist Edgar Bergen and her father would soon throw Candice in front of the camera when she was just a little girl. Her father may have opened the door for her but her talent had paved the way. She went on to start in such films like Richard Attenborough’s epic “Gandhi” and then later, she went on to star in the highly popular sitcom as the TV newswoman, “Murphy Brown”, securing her place in stardom.
A True Survivor
It was in 2006 when Bergen had suffered a stroke, she had collapsed and had lost her memory. For a while, she was down for the count, healing and doing all the appropriate steps to get back to health. She eventually did just that and finally re-emerged herself back into the spotlight, a true survivor and another tale of hope for which gets placed in the books of bravery.
When she did re-emerge however, many people noticed a serious change in her appearance which did not resemble any particular side-effects of a stroke. What had been noticed, was that her face had taken on a look that was the epitome of youth. The wrinkles which had been present for years had completely disappeared and her facial skin had tightened considerably overall. There was just a new element and tone to her.
A respected plastic surgeon in Miami had surfaced, spoke to the press and told them that Bergen had undergone eyelid surgery, Botox injections and and a lower facelift, which was likely to repair the damage which she had acquired from the stroke. Reviewing her before and after pics affirmed the comments made by the Floridian surgeon.
A Peculiar Comeback if You Will
Examining her eyes, it does look like a Blepharoplast had been employed. The aging lines around her eyes had disappeared and the shape of her eyes appear to changed a little as well, almost slightly thinner to a certain degree.
Areas of her face, namely her forehead and her upper cheek area look as if the presence of Botox is definitely a contributing reason for the sudden changes. Her forehead is completely void of wrinkles, which is rather odd for her age and there isn’t even a glimmer of a fine line within the entire radius,.
Her cheeks appear to be more elevated than before, which one would assume is the result of the lower facelift, the combo of the face lift and Botox make up for a lot of the speculations that have come forth. Higher up in the cheek region there is a very noticeable puff, which would presumably be the site of the injection.

Candice Bergen plastic surgery was unique, in the fact that a woman who, for going through so much adversity due to the effects of what sudden turmoil she had gone through in light of a serious stroke, came back to the public looking more radiant than ever. This is not to say that her stroke was a farce or publicized but the timing of it all seems rather strange. The reality is however, that the truth may not ever surface but no matter what the incident was all about, Candice Bergen is very much respected and we shall continue to enjoy her work for the many years to come.
